Visit the Slab Hut Information Centre for maps and supporting
documentation. These drives may include some all weather dirt roads
but are generally suitable for 2 wheel drive vehicles.
Raymond Creek Falls
The falls are situated in the picturesque Snowy National Park, which offers visitors a drive (four hour round trip) through breath taking scenery. This is one of the seven great drives of East Gippsland.
Snowy River Country Trail

You can visit the East and West Capes of this well known natural landmark. There are many rocks to climb and explore and either side of the headland there are magnificent beaches to enjoy. There is a boat ramp and jetty where anglers and divers can gain access to the open waters in Bass Strait. Visit the boardwalk at East Cape. Marlo and Surrounds
Marlo is a picturesque seaside town only a short drive from Orbost. Well known as a fishing haven, Marlo is the location where the famous Snowy River meets the sea. Surf, estuary and river angling, along with some relaxing days on beautiful beaches are often high on the agenda of visitors. McKenzie River Rainforest Walk
Known as one of the Great Walks of East Gippsland, this two hour round trip will bring you face to face with some of East Gippsland's most magnificent natural scenery. For further information see Park's Victoria brochure "Bemm River Scenic Reserve".
Young's Creek Falls
Just a one hour round trip will take you to and from these falls and there are some great views along the way. The rather short journey makes this an achievable trip for the family. For further information see brochure.

Mt Raymond Lookout
Depart from Orbost for this one hour round trip. Take in the great scenery along the way, but it is nothing compared to the sight that awaits you on arriving at Mt Raymond lookout. For further information see brochure.
Many people Know Bemm River for its great fishing, but there is much more on offer. Situated on the shores of Sydenham Inlet (into which Bemm River flows), take a drive to Pearl Point. For further information see DSE brochure

Cabbage Tree Palms
The Cabbage Tree Palms Walk is also recognised as one of the Great Walks of East Gippsland. It is a two hour round trip, revealing the rather peculiar looking palms. For further information see brochure "Best walks along the Princes Highway".
Murrungowar Forest Drive
A 34 km drive commencing at the Murrungowar picnic ground on the Princes Highway, east of Orbost. The drive passes through a number of the different forest types of East Gippsland. Detailed self-drive brochure available from DSE or information centre.
