The room was clean. Fixtures and fittings were close to new and worked perfectly. It was secure. The bathroom and shower were great. The bed was comfortable.

There was no smell of previous occupants smoking (I don't smoke and I'm sensitive to it).

The only suggestion I'd make is to add more lighting but that's not a great issue.

Just stayed here for 4 nights and it was a lovely, clean, quaint little motel on the outskirts of Orbost.

The little kitchenette was helpful and had some snacks in the fridge (for purchase). I'd suggest bringing your own food and drinks. The kitchen includes a coffee maker, toaster, kettle and microwave, plates and cutlery. Laundry facilities on site as well for a small fee. AC works great and the beds are super comfortable. There's also an outdoor BBQ area that guests can use. Orbost town centre is literally a 2 minute drive away for anything else that you may need.

A lovely one night stay in a well equipped and laid out room with a really comfy king size bed. I was worried about road noise due to its position alongside the highway but it was really quiet with a lovely outlook over the paddocks from the bathroom. Thanks for a lovely relaxing stay after a lot of driving.

Fabulous room at Orbost Motel. One night stay. Only thing is that we could not find an open restaurant so we grocery shopped..yup junk food for dinner. No idea why we could nit fund any open restaurant, but oh well tomorrow is a new day

The motel was very clean. Everything was good quality. It was very quiet but just off the main road and onky a short drive into town for an excellent pub meal.

A quiet gorgeous small motel. Very clean, easy booking to reception desk. No problems at all.

Loved staying here! Funky, sparkling clean room in a quiet location. Nice touches for the traveller like the option to buy snacks and even frozen meals rather than drive to the town centre. Will definitely stay here again!

this was a great stay,,the attention to detail is awesome from the frozen meals in the freezer to the guest laundry , our hosts were on hand to meet us and help with anything we needed, after a long day on the bike the last thing we wanted to do was head into town to grab food and opted for the frozen dinner ! what a surprise to find them , would stay again.

Stayed here New Years Day 2025. Rooms were lovely and clean, customer service over the phone and in person was spot on. Orbost was also a lovely little place to explore too.

I decided at the very last minute to break up a driving trip (7 - 8 hrs with small breaks) to Jindabyne and other coastal areas in NSW. Went searching for overnight accommodation and found the Orbost Motel. Luckily for me they had 1 room left given it was just after New Years. I happened to leave on one of the hottest days in Victoria for my road trip and was vey appreciative of the room's facilities to help cool me down. It was a great place for rest and recovery given I was definitely not match fit for driving 8 hrs on day 1. Great place to stop over especially if you are travelling the Victorian / NSW coastal roads or the alpine area. Varnie was extremely welcoming.

Wonderful stay at OM with very helpful hosts. The rooms are more than comfortable and well appointed. We would recommend this as a stopover to anyone. We will be returning, thank you, Ian and Sue.

Hidden Gem on the outskirts of Orbost. Wonderfully clean, well maintained rooms. Perfect stop over for the night whilst travelling. Super friendly and polite owners. Will definitely be going back whilst on our travels.

Vaanie & William are lovely hosts! The accommodation is super comfortable; beds are great, has a proper fridge and awesome water pressure in the shower. One of the few motels where you can lock the room from the inside which is great when you have little kids. Highly recommend and will come again.

On the way back to Sydney after Christmas holiday, we stayed here for 1 night when all the other hotel required 2 nights or above in the popular town. This motel surprised me with the neat and clean condition. Although it is along the highway, the sound proof in the room is good. I couldn’t hear the car noise in the room and have a very good sleep. There are cows behind the motel, they look so cute.

Terrific service (helped with parking space for two trailers), very clean and modern rooms, very pet friendly, reasonably priced. Couldn't ask for more. Thank you.

For a one night stop over, I have to stay that this motel has been the best stopover I have ever had with my family.

Would highly recommend if someone making a stop in orbost. Loved the place and vibe. Rooms were equipped with more than whats expected amenities - given it’s just a motel with modern items but with a rustic look.

Had a jacuzzi bath in the evening to relax myself after around 400k long drive.

The renovation on this hotel is fantastic. Really high quality and stylish, and I love the tiling in particular. Ultimately, they managed to blend both country vibes with modern taste to give what I like to call the "shed chic" Australian aesthetic. I booked this hotel because it was so highly rated - especially by comparison to other places in Orbost - and I wondered if it was worth the price, but it absolutely didn't disappoint. Well above standard, especially as compared to what you would envision when you think of a "motel". I think it was the owner who greeted us on arrival, and he was friendly and helpful. The bed was large and comfortable, and the location was quiet. It was also perfect for me, as I was travelling between Wilson's Prom and Canberra - it is almost exactly halfway. Plus you can see where the Snowy River meets the sea! I stayed in an executive king spa room, and the amenities in the room were great, including the toiletries and towels, which were nice and soft. The view from the back window was lovely. I also recommend the sensory gardens in Orbost, if you like nature and/or plants.

The rooms are updated and super clean.
The location is just across the highway from Orbost, an easy walk.
And most importantly, Vaanie and William are the best hosts, they make everything easy and like home away from home. Highly recommended.

Great location out of sight from the hubbub of a busy period but close enough to walk in and out of Orbost proper.

Fantastic motel with very friendly service. Beds are really comfy and the showers are lovely. Plenty of space in each room to put a portacot.

Nice room layout, very good & friendly service, with the motel being in a convenient location not far from the township centre, and a sufficient distance from the major roads to be nice & quiet overnight.

Lovely renovated rooms with a king size comfy bed. The hots were very helpful and friendly. Would certainly return and recommend to travellers.
